Life Span of Ick

What is the life span of Ick, when there is no fish to host? Need to know, how long to QT my LR from my QT tank

I've heard 1 month (30days) If you have no fish in your display and you have LR in there, simply run the display tank fishless for the 30 days.

1 month would be a good duration. However, if you can follow the trail of your rock you might not need to do this. In other words, if you LFS does not share filtration with fish tanks, etc., chances are your LR is not infected.
