LifeReef HOB overflow help

I need some help figuring out how to quiet down this overflow. I have added a vent with a hole in it. I have also shortened the drain pipe to just below the water surface. All this has helped but it is still louder than id like. Any suggestions would greatly help. I have looked into a stockman or dorso but did not know if it would help on a HOB overflow.

I have valves on mine between where it exits the overflow and enters the sump...this helps me control flow rate and the level in the overflow...both which help keep mine whisper quiet. I've found that if you have too little flow thru them them tend to be a bit loud.:thinking:
