I came home from work today to find my beautiful FlameAngel laying on his side in the final throws of his life. This caught me completely off guard as he's shown no difficulties. Eats great, swims great, not fighting with any tankmates. Just bought a new test kit this week and all levels except nitrate were 0 (nitrate was 20ppm). PH 8.2
I've never had a fish pass from "old age" and am wondering if this a typical example of the way things go and if anyone knows what kind of lifespan a typical fish has. I believe this guy was in excess of 3, maybe 4 years old. I just want to make sure I'm not missing something and that this is normal. Thanks... :help:
