what is your light cycle? i have 2 white LED tubes and a "moon light" purple black light LED iam trying to figure out my cycle? do i turn on 1 white at say noon then the other white on at say 2 then the moon at 7 then all lights out at midnight? or what i dont get it last time i did this i pressed the button on the back of the tank light and ran it for 12 hours???? i got some LR, hermits, emerald, snails, feather, starfish, shrimp, and my prize frogfish thats it

None of these animals are photosynthetic so your lighting cycle can be fairly flexible. More important in this case than how long is that it remains consistent.
What type of lighting system is this? Are you using timers? The comment on "pressing the button and running for 12 hours" is confusing.
