light/flowerpots

I just lost two vho bulbs to salt creep and I am so poor right now (student loans just kicked in, credit cards, bills, stress related hair loss) I may have to wait a few weeks to replace them. My question is will going from 300 watts on my 75 to 80 watts hurt my corals? I have ricordia, dwarf cup, flowerpot, and another type of mushroom (the name prestently escapes me). I do not have any clams or any other invert that needs a lot of light. Will this be too much of a shock or will they be okay for a few weeks? Thanks.

I would think that with adequate feedings the corals may be okay for a few weeks. (few = 2-3)
That flowerpot is definitely the one to worry about with the lighting. Is it possible to place it closer to the light that you have left?
Good luck.

I don't think lighting is too much with the Goniopora spp. It should be fine for a week or so, as long as you keep doing what you have been (preferably have an unskimmed tank), and it should be fine. Moving it would likely just cause more stress for the coral. When you say you lost the bulbs to saltcreep, does this mean the bulbs no longer work, or the bulb is covered in heavy amounts of saltcreep to a point in which you cannot see any intensity?
