Light for 12g Nanocube?

I have a 12 gallon Nanocube with coral and fish. I have burned out two transformers. I'd like to replace the canopy with a custom acrylic lid and a stand alone light. Any suggestions for a good light for a small tank?

either replace the original lighting and stuff because it works fine, or you could even put in MH. You send it to the people, they mod it for you, then you have a nice new MH nano cube. I am personally fine with the stock lighting.

Im using a 150W MH on my nano and I love it, you could always move the fixture up/down to adjust the intensity of the light. just watch out for the evaporate :p

Nano Reefer, thank you for your response. Who can I send it to for this type of work? Both the fans are out and I haven't been able to find a replacement transformer. Neither LFS seem to have replacement parts which makes me concerned that this equipement is becoming obsolete. If there is someone who can retrofit the hood, that would be great.

If you are going to do that, you should just invest in a 75 or 150 watt sunpod. WAY worth the investment

I would put 70watt MH.I think 150watts is overkill. I have a 14gal biocube and i think 150watts is even wayy too much. You might want to invest in a chiller if your thinking about upgrading to Metal Halides due to the heat!

Yep chiller is a must, I do agree that on a 12 150w would be too much. 70w is great stuff for a 12g.
