LIGHT help, 30gal......??????

Are you sure you only want mushrooms in the 30? What are the dimensoins? 30X12X18? You could probably get away with 1X65W PC, but if you ever want more more corals than that you'll have to add more light. So it's best if you decide early if you really want an low light reef or if you are going to want to do more in the future.
The 1/2g will be ok with a 7W-9W pc light, but if you can get a 13W over it that would be terrific.

Yes I understand what you are saying about the 30gal, but here in a few months I am goin to be setting up a 75gal, and my 30 will become my sump and my 55 will be my fuge. So I am just wanting some easy stuff for right now so I can get used to taking care of it. I just though that shrooms would be easy enough since I am still relatively new at SW. Thanks for the reply.......:jumping:

Also, I have yet to see a (w 50/50 but you'll be able to have a 13W 50/50. What are you using for the tank? I'm setting a 1/2g up too and for the type I'm setting up I'm waiting to see how the person put a 13W in instead of the stock 7W.

I am not sure yet, I have not gone the LFS yet or to wally world to see what they have. My LFS set up a little 10 or 15 gal nano and it has a wet/dry filter built into it for about $100 for the tank and the filter,heater,some kind of light, but it looks really good. I think they had a clown, anemone,feather duster,clown,some hermits and snails, but it looks really cool. I might just get that , I dont know yet still gota check out wally world an a few other places.............also if you find out about the 13watt light , let me know asap so I can do it too.......have a good one.........
