Light my 2.5 softie tank!

I've got a tank w/ LS and LR in it to learn what I can about SW before moving on to a 75g....
the tank is the AGA 2.5 w/ the 9x6x12 measurements....
I'd like to keep softies and hermits
also a bulb would be good...can you just recommend a bulb that I can put in a desk lamp? so that I can control the water temp by moving the light as far as needed from the tank....
I figure a 40w incandescent bulb in a gooseneck lamp is what I'm looking for... 40/2.5 is 16 watts per gallon, so it should be enough to grow anything, especially live rock and hermits

found a 20w bulb that's fluorescent w/ a built in ballast so it can screw into a desk lamp... it's half 10000K and half actinic

oh, and good news!! my nano has some neat hitchers that are showing themselves now...including a feather duster

just a few days ago i bought 8 lbs of liverock for my 10 gallon and since i have noticed quite a few feather dusters..some bug like critters and even a tiny star fish! ...it has a tiny grey body with long skinny white legs...any idea what kind it is??

1X or 2X 13W 50/50 PCs. If you did 2X13W you could do 1 actinic and one 10000k for a dusk/dawn effect.
