So my husband and I are in a huge disagreement about what lights should go on our tank. We currently have two sets of Current Nove Extreme 36" T5HO's on our 155G tank (it is not a bow front like many people assume). He wants to do Ice Cap Ballasts on our current set up, I think we should just do metal halides. The issue comes in to play as to how much heat they're going to produce and what watt metal halides we should go with. Should we get metal halides with T5 actinics or PC actinics? So I'm interested to see what your opinions are on this because we're at a stand still. What would you light the tank with? What brand lighting, what brand bulbs, etc.
We really don't have any SPS right now (except one monti and a birdsnest that's dying because it wasn't fragged properly, but our clown gobies love it), but have just about every LPS you can think of, and well, we're bored and want to start doing SPS.
Money is NOT an issue.
We currently have to keep a heater on our tank, even in the summer time because the area of the house that the tank is in is not very warm.
