Light On/Off

I'm going out of town for 4 days...Should I leave the light on (to burn continuously) or turn it off (leaving them in the dark the whole time).
I have a fish only tank with an anemone.

Off. Keep your shades up for whatever ambient light they can get. Not what I would wish for them...Do your best.

What about getting a $5-10 timer and put the lights on that?

I have my lights on a timer, its the best thing ever, i never have to worry about if i turned the lights on or not, go with getting the timer... 8 - 9 hours a day is what is recommended for light time for a tank.

you definitely want to buy a timer. they're cheap and will be very useful even when you get back.

I would say get a timer, but if not off. I left my 20g planted FW light on for 5 days straight when on vacation & the ALGAE.......................................................... Trust me don't go there.
