light purple spots on substrate......

what are these spots which were not there this morning on my sand--they are about .5-1 inch in diameter and seem to look like wet candle wax with co

eb like designs inside---i have no idea what these spots are---there are about 10-12 of them--i noticed a couple the other day,but today they have seem to taken over the substrate???any info appreciated--thnks

Sounds like it could be some sort of slime algae. Thats usually caused by low circulation in some areas.
