light reflector

i have a 175w mh sunburst retro kit but didnt come with reflector.so my Q is can i just paint the inside of my canopy all white for light reflector and mount the bulb in the middle.in my 29g reef.is this enuf light for most softies and maybe sps?

I would go to home depot and buy some reflective metal (mabye metal flashing or even a 10" square or round house ventilation duct cut in half) and use that. It makes a huge difference on the light getting to your tank
