Light Usage and Mounting Suggestions

Hey all. I got a couple strips of LEDs from my cousin recently and was looking for some suggestions on both mounting and using them. Each strip is 12 inches long and contains 12 LEDs. There are 8 blue and 4 magenta for a total of 16 blue and 8 magenta LEDs. Since there are no whites, I'm thinking of just running them in conjunction with my PCs. The PCs are a 420/460 96-watt actinic and a white 10k 96-watt. If I run the LEDs with the PCs will this be too much light? My tank is a 40-gallon reef with mostly photosynthetic corals and a BTA. My plan is to run them together until I can get some white LEDs.
Secondly, any recommendations on how to mount these? They have mounting brackets on either end with screws. Suspending them isn't an option really. My thought was to put a piece of wood or metal between them to connect them into one long strip and then fashion some braces at either end to prop it up next to the PC. However, if anyone has any better suggestions, I'd certainly welcome them. The tank is 36"Lx12"W

Got a pic of these led strips? Do you have specs on the leds themselves, wattage and such?

They are ecoxotic panorama pro LED modules. 6-watt. I can't get the pic to load for some reason but they are 12.5" strips with bulb 1" apart.

Considering the size of your pc's it doesn't sound like adding the leds is going to be too much. Your corals and BTA might appreciate it, actually.
Your mounting idea sounds like it would work just fine to me.
