Lighting above a 10 gallon

I have a 10 gallon tank I am setting up as a fish only tank and I have a standard flourescent fixture (18"). I went by the LFS and bought a 18" Power-Glo Flourescent bulb. It is a 18000k 15 watt bulb and it says it "promotes coral, invertebrates and plant growth". It also says is is ideal for Corals, Salt, Fresh, and Planted Aquariums.
I do not really care to keep corals/softies in this tank (that is why I have my 75 reef) but could I keep something with this bulb??
Thanks in advance

These lights will be fine for fish and critters. If you want to keep corals they would have to be the hardy soft corals....Shrooms Etc. :D

So you think shrooms and ricordia could possibly survive under such light - 15watts?
maybe mid to high in the tank?

That's what I thought as well.
I hate when boxes/literature on the products are misleading like posted above.
I know 15 watts will not sustain anything but figured I would ask since it said it on the box.
Thanks bigarn

I have an extra 10g that i was thinking about setting up, found several for $5 and couldn't pass them up, and was wondering what lighting would i need to keep corals, like leathers, mushrooms, and I would like to have an anenome and clown. Any help from yall would be great. I have a 30g reef and a 75g that is cycling, but i have never done a nano and i have wanted too for a while now. Thanks in advance!
