Okay, need any and all suggestions for possible lighting...all responses welcome!;
90 gal. tank, 24"tall, 48" wide, canopy only has 6"-8" clearance from water line to lid cover so metal halides would be too hot, can't afford a chiller. Would like to put anything my heart desires in this tank to include clams, sps, lps, anemone's, etc. What is the best lighting I can do? I don't trust local fish guy who just says it would be $250 to set me up but not go into detail of WHAT he's "setting me up" with. Just feels like a bad blind date! :scared:

I have a 90 and i use 54watt T-5's and they work great and they run really cool. Just make sure u get individual reflectors with them. makes a big difference

How many T-5's would you suggest for a 24" deep tank? Would that accommodate something as needy as a clam, or sps corals? :joy:
