Lighting and my 29 Gallon FOWLR

I have a question about lighting for a 29 Gallon Fish Only tank that has Live Rock in it. I have a two bulb setup and am looking for the best lighting setup to promote the least amount of alge growth. The two lights I had went out a few weeks ago and I haven't replaced them yet, mainly because they only fish in there right now is a damsel and then a few crabs, and none of them care about no lights. Anyway, without any lighting except what little is provided by the florescents the room, there is basically no alge growth, it's almost non-existant, there is so little. Now before, I was using a 10K and a 20K, which really promoted alge growth, like mad, and I didn't have the crew needed to keep it under control. So I figure I better ask before I order some new lights as to what I should get. I do not plan on adding any corals anytime soon, but I might later, like 6 months down the road. TIA.

The lights you had should not have caused an algae problem.Unless the bulbs were old,or you kept them on too long each day...They need to be replaced every 7-10 months. And should only be on for 8-10 hours a day...I would just go with the same thing, that is if you liked the color. If that was too blue for you, then look for some lower k bulbs...
