I have a 38 Gallon tank that is 18" deep. I am purchasing the Coralife 2 X 96 Watt(192W) Lunar aqualight. Ultimately my question is what coral can I have??? Mushrooms, polyps, etc... Can I keep a clam? If so what type? Also the LFS is getting a mated pair of True Perc's, they said they would get them to host an anenome for me. Will I be able to keep an anenome???
Any help is greatly appreciated and thank you in advance! :)

with that lighting setup you can keep all softies and most LPS but a clams are outta the question. There are success stories with keeping clams under VHO and PC but its recommended you have MH. Anenomes are another touchy subject. Many, well let me say most dont live more than a few months regardless of the lighting. I cannot tell you not to get one b/c I myself have anenomes under VHO's and kept one for over 3 years before a unidentified crab decided to make it a meal. I now have tank raised bubble tips that split often. But be warned that its not advised to attempt an anenome.
If your tank is new...start with softies--zo's, mushrooms, and then work your way into LPS (frogspawn, torch, brains, etc).

STAY AWAY from anemones!! They require pristine water condtionds, they cannot tolerate changes in temp pH, salinity, specific gravity, etc. On top of that they need a strong light source and they only live a short time in captivity. Sure there are people that have had one fro a year or so, but as far as averages go, they only live about three-to-six months in captivity.
