Go with at least T5s. You know your going to want to add more down the line!
Save yourself the money it will cost to upgrade eventually.

Power compacts would be the bare minimum for what you listed.
Quite honestly, if you even think you're going to be interested in other types of corals, just dive right into the MHs.

i wouldn't go with Power Compacts because you have to replace the bulbs alot sooner than you do with Metal Halides and T5 bulbs.
how long is your tank?
for my new 125 gallon tank its 72 and im going to put 3 sets of 2x80 watt tek T5 retrofits with three Current USA Lunar Light/Link and all together its going to look some thing like this

yeah,, how long is your tank, and do you have a canopy to put the lights in or do they sit atop you tank out in the open. I have bought 2 sets of T5HO's, I just ordered the second set,, they weren't expensive which is why i went with them.

The tank is 72" L x 24" W x 24" H
Right now I have the Cora Life Powercompact lights I had onmy 75 gallon (Temp fix) untill I buy the new Lights. Im also still working on the stand Doors (Final coat of varnish). I als plan on hiding all the wires once the Lights are installed.

look into the coralife aqualite pros .. they have pc and halides.. you dont want to have your halides running full day just the peak light hrs for growth. run pc for the ramaining hrs to cust back elec cost.. also includes moonlights.. also this will make your tank unlimited for types of corals if you plan on doing them wihout having to upgrade.. hamilton also makes vho halide hoods..

yeah those are cool~~ I might get those instead. I was thinking about building a canopy too , but Im not sure yet. I kind of like being able to see inside of my tank
