lighting for 45gal reef

hello all i have a question. iu have a 45 gal tank what lights can i have besides mh to support sps,lps,softies .dont want to use up to much electricity.

For sps, you better use some good T5 lighting if you're not using MH. How deep is that tank?

if you are going for t-5s make sure to put the sps coral high up in the tank, especialy if you are aiming to save energy. remember that t-5's dont penetrate that far, so if your tank is deep you may have lighting problems

Yep, thus my question of how deep his tank is. For some reason I think those 45g tanks are pretty deep. Definitely put the sps towards the top and you'll be fine.

my tank is 18" deep but i have a 4" sand bed.
