lighting for a 30gallon tank(tall)

is 100 watt of lighting enough for a 30 gallon(tall). All i want to keep in it is soft corals. Should 100 watt be enough?

What kind of lights?
If you could afford more than that would be the wise thing. I would recomend 3 VHO or some power compacts for Leathers and other softies..
