Lighting for LR

Do I need special lighting for live rock? Or will full spectrum fluorescents work? Do actinics do anything other than bring out the blue in the tank and make fish look cool?

no speacial light for the live rock. But if you want corals that is a difrent thing.

No special lighting required.
If you have liverock with sponges/mushrooms/polyps, some better lighting would certainly help keeping them alive.
