I have a 75 gallon tank, my strip light recently too a dump..so I deceided to look for a real lighting system, OMG. $500. bucks. I would like to get live rock and corals again one day but looks like that wont be happening. What kind of lighting systems to you guys use? I was looking at PC's because If figured they would be a ltille cheaper but they dont pump out enough watts. MH and VHO are out of the questions to expensive. Any idea's???

I have found that lighting is one thing that you just have to bite the bullet and shell out the bucks for. Of course you can try to find some used equipment or buy retro kits and build a canopy. Also decide what types of corals you want to keep some of them do not require as much light as other types.

I have a 2x96w custom sealife retro kit on my 55g. Everything in tank is doing well. Kit costs around $260. Check out Premium Aquatics great people with great customer service...You'll probably want to go with the 4x96w retro kit for a 75g
