Lighting help

I don't know much about lighting so bear with me. I have a 10 gallon tank. The light fixture is the same one that came with the tank but I changed to bulb to one that is supposed to be good for saltwater. Do I need a metal halide bulb to keep my tank healthy or is the one I have ok? And what about an actinic light? Do I need one? Help anyone?

unless u r keeping corals, the light u hv is fine. if u r planning to easy corals like shroom and softies, then get a pc light.
