I read the article someone gave me it helped alot. My tank has pc's with a little actinic blue. I don't know how much wattage I need for a standard 75g. I like the mh light but how many do i NEED how many watts how much is it going to cost. My tank has very little mushrooms and polps growing in it will this light help them gro bigger and faster. Also does this light give out a florescent blue color?

Wow, your are asking lots of questions. First, you will need 4 to 6 watts of light per gallon....that is 450 or so for you. A 75 should use 2 MH if you go that way. As far as the color the higher the Kelvin rating the bluer the light looks to you. I personally like the 10k with actinic bulbs addded to it. You can start actinics for dusk to dawn effect. Another question is what type of corals do you plan to keep, if just mushrooms and leathers, NO lights are OK, PC is better but for the $ go for a cheap 175 watt retro....If you are planning to keep Acros or clams MH are a must....
