ok...ii currently have 4 no flos under a canpony...
my question is...i have bought two cheapey flo lampp strips from hd.....can i gut the ballest and remotely put a vho ballest on outside of tank and run vho lamps in the strips?
melting a problem?
will be adding all new wireing for new bulbs...
just a thought...tell me what ya'll think

You shouldn't have a problem with swapping them over to VHO. As long as you change the the ends where the bulbs attach since the NO's and VHO's are different. Other than that removing the ballast would effectively offset what little extra heat the VHO's might put off.
