Lighting Illiterate

About to file my taxes and will be looking to upgrade my lighting on my 75 gallon. From what I have read, it looks like I will be needing some MH's and VHO lighting. Since I have no idea about this type of lighting, please let me know I will be needing. I am looking to possibility keep clams along with some soft corals and other goodies. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm thinking 7+ watts per gallon for clams, sps, etc, which is about 525+ watts. 2x 250 MH, 10k I say, mixed with 2 36inch VHO actintics would be good, if money isnt the problem...
