lighting in my tank: what do you all think?

hey guys
i had recently bought some 18" marine flourencent lights for my 55 gallon. i found that they were too dark and chose to mix marine lights with power glow. do you all think this is too much light or a bad combination? i just want some thoughts.
i have a sea anemone and a sponge and other fish

The lights you are talking about most likely will not support an anemone. Look into high output T5 lighting or Metal Halide lighting.

18" Power glows are only like 15 watts. Your gonna have to go bigger.
Fish only your good to go. But nothing else.
