lighting info

right know i am runing two Compact Fluorescent lights. one is aorbit total of 260w and a jbj with the same 260w. i am looking to put the jbj on my 55g and and the aorbit with metal halide in it it has 2x150 mh and 2 x 130 pc actinic. would this be to much light for my 120g. i have read that you can't put to much light on a tank but this seems to be a lot of light. :notsure:

If you are putting 2x150W HQI MH on a 120, that is on the LOW side of lighting actually. I would go with the 2x250W. With those, you could keep pretty much everything except the most light demanding corals. The actinic are more for visual effect and don't contribute nearly as much as the MH's do.
