My 29g has been doing good, I have loaded this thing with a bit of ls and a ton of lr, basically to help out with the filtration. In this I thought well I'll just put corals and inverts in here. Well not thinking about I purchased a like $3 condylactis, just to test things out. When I then realized I don't have the lighting for this. So went down to LFS and orderd a 36" MH setup, and I thought what am i going to do with this drop of sludge in my tank. well went down to the local hardware store, and bought a AC Delco sure grip clamp lamp $6, and then bought a Sylvania 120W Spot-gro bulb. put that sucker in to see if it will do till my MH setup comes in. That Aenenome popped to attention faster than I did when I was in the military. I also have a 20w marine glo POS complimenting it. will this due till time being? If it does, I guess someone else could try it if they are in the same predicament. Let me know on criticizm.
thanks, Kurt

I think he is just using it as a temporary measure until the "big gun lighting" arrives? Is that the case???
I was at a LFS in Miami last week and they had a separate "holding" tank full of great looking LR. This tank was separate from their main tanks of various LR which were all heavily lighted. I asked the guy who was just unloading a newly arrived shippment of LR why this other totally unlighted LR tank was not lighted, and wouldn't the LR die off??? He told me that the LR had been in that holding tank for over a month as it had been hand picked and sold to a customer whom they were building a large system for. He pointed out all the life growing on the LR [without any lighting] and remarked... doesn't look dead, does it??
Or course, corals are another story, but what can you do....if you got your real lights on order...
