Lighting- new-very new

i do not understand the lighting i have been reading on this site for a couple weeks now and am very interested in starting a reef aquarium. my question is im looking for some relativly cheap lighting that can support some basic mushrooms and leathers can anyone point me in the direction im lookin to go? i forgot to mention i have a 55 gal aquarium

I would look into setting up something in the range of a 265 watt power compact fixture.
