Picking up a 135gallon soon and I am starting to shop for lighting. Wanna do approx 130+lbs of LR, 125+lbs of LS, a few corals, and assorted livestock.
Do I need to go MH for my lights or can I get away with the right combo of PC lights? enough for the coral and not having to spend $1000 bucks on a MH setup...

depends on what type of coral you want.
SPS= halides, or T5's with the right reflectors
LPS/SOFTIES= T5's, VHO, or strong PC's.
what type of coral do you want

Kinda new to the coral game. I have a couple in my nano right now, green star polyps? not sure what they classify as, also some sort of mushroom coral, kind small, looks like a small mushroom.... also

not sure what there are, but they are pretty big, as in number of pods...
Also want an Anenomie for my clowns to play in...What ya think?

For an anemone you will need metal halides, t5's won't penetrate deep enough and pcs won't be nearly strong enough. I'm setting up a 125 and putting three pendant halides over it, in the long run I think it will be cheaper for bulb replacement than t5's or a fixture with actinic bulbs.
