Lighting Opinion

I am finally getting my VHO set-up wired up and ready to go. I currently do not have a reflector behind the bulbs.
Would using bulbs with 180 degree reflectors work okay or should I put in a reflector?

I've run URI VHO lamps with internal relectors for several years now...no external reflectors...and they've worked fine for my application.

Great, those are the ones I'm looking at.
How often do you replace yours?
I'll eventually have a total of 4 bulbs, would 2 Actinics and 2 daylights be good?

I change a pair of 110 watt actinics out every 10 months or so....and I think a combination of actinics and daylights would be good. I like the look of aquasuns and actinics myself...I run a pair of actinics and a pair of aquasuns over a 80 gal bowfront for a client. Very nice effect in my opinion and the ladies in the office love it.
