I have a 15.5 gallon with 4 corals in it and my actinic light went out. My tank seems ok so far but will anything die?

Please give more info when you post these questions...Odd as though it may seem very few of us are mindreaders and don't know anything else about your system. PLease post all info even if you think it's useless....Like what kind of lights, whats in your tank bla bla bla

if you still have some lighting, you will be fine til Saturday...A lot of people do not even use actinics...

I am afraid sir that the anemone will not survive under PC lighting long term. That said if you have two PC bulbs and one is actinic and one white everything else should be fine until you replace the bulb or the ballast whichever is at fault.

Sorry I just totally overlooked the anemone...I am afraid Sir Spanko is 100% correct on that...I know cause I use to have pc lighting, and have lost anemones because of that

I will agree that the nem will definately not survive in that tank. See if you can trade it into the LFS for credit....

It will survive until you get a new bulb, but thats not because the bulb is going to save it. The anenome needs more light than your PC light setup can supply, even with both bulbs working so it is just going to slowly die over time from lack of lighting.

my LFS has kept a anemone alive under a 96 watt PC bulb for over a year now with out any problems.

Yes, but possibly not for long with your lighting

I also know someone who has a bta and a beautiful carpet with pcs for over a year
BUT....I also know of many more people, including myself who have lost anemonesdue to insufficient lighting....it's a gamble with the chances of survival NOT on the anemones side

yea it is a gamble. but it can be done. my LFS also has a 75 gallon tank with a clam at the bottom under 3 96 watt PC bulbs.
