Lighting plan

I just purchased a 120 gallon tank, with some mhs. There is 3 250 watt metal halides with 15,000k bulbs. I was also gonna add 4 50 watt actinis to the lighting, and probably around 3 or 4 moon lights. Is this sufficient lighting for sps, clams, and other high light corals?

I would think so that puts you at 7.9 watts per gallon. Should be able to house just about anything that does not require low light.

I have basically the same setup except i have the 150 watt DE MH's x 3 with 4 Actinics and 4 moon lights. Anyway on the Longer tanks like yours and mine, i have a 125 long . The 150's and 250 watts will do fine. You really only need the 400 watt for the deeper tanks. Somewhere around here theres a chart on how deep each wattage will penetrate the water. Good luck and enjoy. Sounds like your off to a good start!
