Tank Dimensions -
Length - 36"
Width - 18"
Height - 24"
Setting up a reef tank, have a complete setup aside from the lighting.
I was thinking 36" 6x39W SunPower T5 High-Output Fixture. 35.0" x 13.4" x 2.1" (L x W x H)
Bulbs - I've seen others with these coloration combo and it was amazing.
2x 39W ATI 12000K Aquablue Special T5 HO Fluorescent
3x 39W ATI Blue Plus T5 HO Fluorescent
1x 39W Fiji Purple T5 HO Fluorescent
OR
1x 39W ATI 12000K Aquablue Special T5 HO Fluorescent
4x 39W ATI Blue Plus T5 HO Fluorescent
1x 39W Fiji Purple T5 HO Fluorescent
Do I have to have this light hanging; or can I place directly on top of the tank? (No canopy, very circulated room)
What corals could this lighting grow?
Thanks in advance. :)
I've received so much information already from this site.

As far as your question about placing the fixture directly on the tank, it depends if it's glass or acrylic. Glass is okay, acrylic will warp. This is pretty low lighting, but I think softies would do fine.
