Lighting Question

My son has set up a 30 gallon salt water tank. I think it would be called a breeder tank as it is more long and less deep.He has had it up and running for 4 months. Roughly two weeks ago he added an a pink tip anemone. He had a standard florescent light which he changed to a coral sun actinic 420 and then added a coral life 20,000k high intensity light. Both of these lights seem to give off a blue tint. I am wondering if he could re-place the 420 to the regular florescent. We are a little confused on the lighting issue. The anenome appears to be doing very well. With the coral actinic light the anemone appears more white in color. With the regular florescent it appears more pink. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

With "regular fluorescent" do you mean like a full spectrum aquarium bulb? if so, then yes you could do that. Something like a 10,000k bulb would add some white back in for you.
Something you should know, most anemone's require good lighting. Normal output fluorescents will not serve your son's critters very well. If you can look into some power compact (PC) lighting.
