Lighting Question!

We're looking to purchase this lighting system.
Coralife Power Compact 48"
2 - 65W 50/50
2 - 65W Actinic
4 - Lunar Lights
2 - Fans
All with separate switches and separate power cords.
I only have FOWLR in a 55 gallon, I think this lighting is good enough for what I have. IF I were to get something else, what can I keep with this type of lighting? Isn't this lighting good enough to promote coraline algae growth too? Thanks! :happyfish

Its plenty of light for a FOWLR and for nice coralline growth. You can keep softs corals like mushrooms, polyps, zoos. Any hard corals with need metal halides or VHO depending on how deep your tank is.

I picked up an Orbit 48" for my 46 bowfront tank with a 96W 10K/6.7K bulb and a 96W 420/460 blue PC and three lunar lights. I have successfully kept both softies and LPS corals (the LPS are in the top half of the tank). I have a frogspawn, hammer, meat (he's on the bottom), candy cane, two devils hand, a cabbage, xenia, phylo (or something like that) and some zoos and some soon to be removed hairy mushrooms. I've had no trouble keeping LPS under PC lighting. I've had them for quite a while now and my frogspawn, hammer and candy are growing like mad. Plus it helps that I hand feed them :)

What type of mushrooms do you suggest? I have Heniochus Butterfly so I can't keep polyps or zoos. I read in another thread that soft corals are fine with Butterfly. Maybe I should post this in another thread. :happyfish
