Hello all,
I am back again with yet another lighting question. I have a 125 gallon reef tank. One of my favorite corals, an African Ritteri Anemone is not doing well. It has shrunk to a really small size and I have come to find out it is due to my lighting. I have a 72” Coralife power compact set up(which I was told my some people was enough for the anemone). I figured out that he really needs to have MH lighting. So I purchased a 36” MH Sunpod from Current. It has 2 MH bulbs in it. That’s all I could afford for now so I set it up over where the anemone is at last night.
My question is this. Once I get another 36” Sunpod, will that be too much light on my tank? And since the tank is only so big the PCs have to sit at the front of the tank and the MH at the back, it’s a little crowded but they both fit snugly.
Should I sell the PCs and just use the MHs? Also, how do you all keep the glass cover over the top of your tank clean? Mine is always getting mucked up with dried salt on it. Having to clean them constantly.
I know that’s a lot of questions and thanks in advance for the help!
