lighting question

It seems that every time i come to this board I come up with another question. I guess this is what it is all about. This morning I am thinking about lighting, I have a 55 gallon reef that I am re-setting up after along move, across country, I have a compact florescent system with 2 10k and 2 85k actinic bulbs. I start the actinic one hour before the daytime bulbs, which I run for 7 hours then I keep the actinics on for an additional hour. My main question is am I suppose to turn off the actinics while the others are on or run everything. Or does any one have any better ideas.
Thanks

If anything, you should have the actinics come on a half hour before the daylights come on,and stay on a half hour or so after they go off. This is to simulate sunrise, and sunset.

I run my lights 1 hour actinic, 10 hours all lights and then 1 hour actinic.
