Lighting question...

I currently have a Aquactinics 5x39 fixture and I would like to supplement that lighting with a 2x39 retro. How hard is it to setup the retro? Would 7x39 be a enough light on a 40 gallon breeder to keep anything I want?
Thanks,
Roland

Retro's aren't that difficult to set up. Connect blue wires with blue wires, green with green, red with red and you should be good to go. Of course, use electrical tape OR those twist things.
Are you talking about a T5 setup? If you are, then absolutely, yes.

The TX5 should be enough for the 40 period. You can grab one of the 2x39 watt Current fixtures with individual reflectors, they aren't great but not bad either. That would allow you to run blue/actinics in the nova and stick with higher PAR lamps in the Aquactinics.

What bulb combination would you use for a sps tank for the 5 bulb fixture? If I did add 2 more bulbs what would you do then?
Thanks
