Lighting Question!

Hey i have a 29 gallon tank with a corallife compact flouresent running on it right now, i am wanted to upgrade to mh to support my anemone, but the tank it only 30 inches long, i have found on craiglist a light that is 36" x 12" x 4" in demensions, the following are my dimensions, 30 1/4 x12 1/2 x18 3/4
is there any way to make this work, as i can probably get a good deal on this light?

You could always hang it. Have you seen the solana tanks, they have halides that are connected to a bar that goes behind the tank and sort of hangs out over the water. What kind of light is it?
