I currently have a 55 gal tank with 2 fixtures on it thats how it was when I bought it 1 fixture is a current PC with 2 65w 50/50 bulbs and the other is a coralife PC with 2 65W daylight and 2 65W actinic i think the bulbs in both of these are older how old I dont know but I was thinking about upgrading I talked to my LFS and they recomended the Nova extreme T5 model#1122which is 2x54W daylight and 2X54W actinic doesnt seem better than what I have is it worth upgrading or???? I know the guy I bought the tank from was growing/fraging corals so it must have worked for him I guess my main question is should I bother upgrading or not.....oh yeah Im wanting to get into the corals as of right now Im FOWLR but just bought my first coral to see how it does

If you want to use T5ho then make sure the fixture has individual reflectors. The Nova Extreme does not, but the Nova PRO model does.

The Pro with it's 6 bulbs will give you a lot more bang for the bucks.. It for it's price is a good deal. Lighting is one of the most important things in a Reef tank........
The Extreme Pro will alow you to keep just about anything. I have it on my 72. The 55 would be the same depth .....Warren
