Lighting Question

If i were to get 2 wavepoint T5HO 36 inch retrofit kits with 4 39w bulbs each would that be enough to light a 125g tank?
and what kind of corals would i be able to keep with that setup..
Id like to keep mostly softies and lps but also a few sps if possible and an anemone.
I know halides would be better but im worried about the heat since its going to be in a canopy and electricity cost. Id also like to keep initial cost no more then $500..
I also know that a 6 bulb t5 fixture would be better but i havnt been able to find those in that price range..
Thoughts?

The thing that concerns me is that most 125's are 4ft long, so 3ft long lights aren't going to fill all areas with light.

its 6 ft long.. i was gonna get 2 side by side
Ah, I don't think that is going to work then. You might want to look into a used fixture or a DIY LED kit

Two of em' won't fit inside your canopy side by side.
You could look into VHO retrofit kits which are sold in 6foot lengths. They are also pretty well priced.
To be honest, however, if you are planning on having an anemone, I would look into buying a couple of 150w metal halide retrofit kits. That shouldn't really cost an arm and a leg to run every month. And I would back it with an actinic VHO and a 10,000k VHO 6 foot lamps for supplemental light. You should be able to find this for around that price range. If you can't, I'll be on the lookout. TEK and Ice Cap both have 60" T5 retro kits that are more appropriately sized for 6' tanks if you want to look into those. If you're worried about the extra 5-6" on either side of the tank not getting good coverage, don't be. The tank will still get coverage, and most folks don't run their rockscape all the way up their side panels.
