lighting question

hey everyone I need help im going to setting up a 135 soon and im going to have to buy light for it dont know whitch way to go only thing ive messed with is power compacts so i need some advice if i run powercompacts i will have to run 6x96 and if i run mhs i would run 3x400watts or 3x250 with two 96 powercompact atinic or 4xi think there 175 vhos witch would be the best way to as far a long run and how long do vho and mh bulbs last i need help on deicdeing what kind of light to put on the tank or should i say witch would be the best and advice would be great

well, it all depends on what you plan to keep in the tank. nice size tank btw
i would go with the metal halides. from me experiencing with both PC's and VHO's. I found myself going with the MH/VHO combination. Deciding on the MH's wattage, I would go with the 400's. You may can do what you want with lower, but what will the future bring? Might as well get them now and you will able to grow anything in your tank ...including SPS.

I am setting up a 120 gallon tank right now and I am going with 2 400 watt metal halides and 2 or 110 watt VHO's. My tank dimensions are 48x24x24.

My fish guy recommended that exact set up for my 120. Where did you find your lights? I need everything. Do you have a hood? Can you give me an idea on the cost?

ok how long do mh lastr or hwo often do they need to be changed out thanks for everyones info on this probally going with mh dont know just yet still would like some more imput on the subject
