lighting questions for 200 gallon

Hello all...I am in the process of setting up my FOWLR and need some guidance on lighting. My measurements for the tank is 84.5x24.5x24.75 with a center brace. I will go with FOWLR for now until the tank matures then definately go with a reef. So I want to start off with metal halides...will 3x250 metal halides be sufficient? <img src="graemlins//confused.gif" border="0" alt="[confused]" /> thanks in advance for the help

hello David...I am a newbie to all this. I've been reading in post and trying to research as much as I can for about 8 months now. Now I think I am ready to start my dream tank. This would be my first saltwater experience...I just purchased my tank and am in the process of building my tank stand and hood. I want to go with metal halides.....but havn't fully decided if I want to go with HQI or metal halide bulbs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm sorry Baron didn't mean to call you David. What part of Houston are you from? I live in Clear Lake area. To answer your first question no I am not a member of Marsh....is Marsh a reef club in Dallas area? Thanks Baron and again sorry for the wrong name calling.
