lighting questions

most likely a pair of marron clowns and a bubble anemone, maybe an angel and other reef dwelling species. its a 65 gallon tank is that too much light? could i get by with 2 65 watt cf and a 150 watt metal halide? :scared:

That is plent of light for soft and lps corals, but you are going to be some what limited if you are looking at SPS. A tank that size would need two metal halides to get proper light coverage on all sides. You could have SPS directly under the one halide though. It is just going to be a little shady on the sides for SPS.

As long as your anemone plops down under the halide you should be fine. I would get the 6x65 because you would be disappointed if you didn't. With 6x65 you can get all the softies you want throughout the tank.
