I'm going to be buy the Oceanic BioCube
this is the lighting in side

72 watt canopy
lighting includes:

(1) 36 watt True Actinic 03 Blue straight pin
(1) 36 watt 10,000K Daylight straight pin
(3) 0.75 watt Lunar Blue-Moon-Glow LED

Is this enough to hold corals. If not are there better bulbs that can help.
Thanks

It's enough for some corals such as mushrooms, zoanthids, and other soft corals, and some LPS if they're placed up higher in the tank. But don't try SPS in them.

Ok thats what the LFS told me. I have been looking at these tanks for some time. Believe it or not

getting it from. Any ideas for adding more light

I had one and wripped the top off and put a 150watt halide over it when I was using it for SPS. It's fairly easy to upgrade the lighting, there are a ton of mods all over the internet on them as they're a very popular tank. The BioCube is one of my favorite all in one units.

Well they have a MH and LED one they jump to about 700 bucks though
so i thought about just adding small MH light to the current Hood.
Is there anything on this Forum about that all i saw was larger DIY.
Or for that matter is it even possible to add some small HM lights
to the under side of the current hood. I don't want to lose the hood i
really like how the fit looks.
Thanks

OK how do those stack up the the LED model of this hood. I can buy that hood as a extra for about the same amount or even the HM ones.

A lot of people complain about the MH halide model (29G HQI) running really hot and they have to put a chiller on it or it fries everything in the tank. The LEDs won't produce that kind of heat and don't need to be replaced every 8-12 months.

OK i have decided to change my plans a little. I will be going with the Pico 4g Glass Deluxe+.
This is only because i am moving in about 4 months and dont want to have to move a larger tank so soon.
I have looked around and was told its a pretty good pico. I was also told it comes with better lights and filtration.
Does anybody have any input on this tank
Thanks
