Lighting starter

I noticed that Icecap DIY VHOs don't have a starter like NO lighting fixtures. Is the starter included in the end caps?

you mean the little can starter on ho vho doesnt use them just the ballast

Yes, on normal output fluorsent(sp) lighting there is a little can starter that is used to fire the lights.

Icecap ballasts don't need them. They can fire the bulb on their own. You can get NO ballasts that don't require it either.

Yeah I just bought 2 fixtures from Home Depot. The normal output 48" dual stripe fixtures. They do not require any starter.
