Lighting upgrade advice

Hi there I'm looking to upgrade my lighting on my Aqua euro usa 28 g biocube. I was looking at the current usa orbit marine led light system. Just wondering if anyone has used these before or any advice at all. I would like to switch to LEDs Forsure. Just not sure what system. Just looking for my best bang for my buck

After a quick google search, the lights you mentioned look a bit under powered. However they do have some nice features. For the money you should be able to find a better all around fixture. Google the reefbreeders photon series LED to start, that should give you a good starting point. There are a lot of other fixtures that are a lot better but they come with a higher price tag.

I own 2 Photon series fixtures and they grow SPS, clams, LPS and softies.

Can you hang those from a mounting kit to your tank because I don't want to hang one from the roof

You would probably need to rig something up to get it to hang over the tank and not from the ceiling.

There are some aftermarket tank mounting kits you could search for. Maxspect makes a mounting kit... I think.

Well I was interested in those lights from reef breeders but they don't ship to canada apparently. Any other ideas ? Lol

Oh man... That sucks!!

The Reefbreeders units are shipped in from China... From the Evergrow Lighting Company Shenzhen Sanzinboa (Google it). You may be able to order direct from them, or maybe get in on a group buy on a different chat forum.

There are other units out there that are similar. Check out Ebay (I'll shoot you a PM with a link).

I just bought the USA Current Marine for my 72g build. They're only rated for low light corals. That's what I'm going to start with. I'll double them up later when I decide to add higher light corals.

As long as the timer is set right the programing will be the same on both of them. Or mix them up for different effects.

btw: It has great light effects. I just had to play with mine the day I got it. lol

Oh ok thanks yea I figured as much. After I did some more research I think I was just excited about the effects the light has and the timer. Wish it had some 3w LEDs on it then it would be the perfect system. But I guess the price would triple to lol. Thanks for messaging me I appreciate it
