Has anyone ever mixed MH wattage, I have two ballast one runs 2 175 watt and 1 runs 250. I was thinking of placing the 250 in the middle of tank and the 175's on either end. Tank is a 180. Could this harm anything? most of my sps are in the middle area of tank , the other areas contain various softies. I
really do not want to buy another 250 dual ballast.
Thoughts and opinions welcome.

Put the 250 in the middle of the canopy and 1 175 on each side. This works very well and you can work with your placement of corals around the lighting setup. I have seen this done quite often.
